I cried in my office yesterday watching that widely circulated clip of the little Aleppo boy wiping blood from his head... His eyes reminded me of my 4-year-old when he gets scared. Just broke down. No way I could do your relatives job.
Moved out of home at 17, guess thats something im proud of.. more proud of the fact im still alive is the main contributor to that pride
Apparently there's a Persian myth of Satan where Satan was god's supreme angel. Satan loved god more than anything in the universe. One day god creates man and commands the angels to bow down to man. All the angels bow down except for one--Satan. Satan cannot bow down to anyone other than god. For his disobedience, god casts Satan from heaven where he shall suffer evermore as he can no longer cast his gaze on the one he loves most. Being denied the one you love, that is hell.
I think Joseph Campbell recalls this story in The Power of Myth.
I like the look but both the floors and the stairs make it really busy. I think it would pop more if it had been on or the other.
Puts me in mind of a pre-moon landings Robert Heinlein n(Stranger in a Strange Land) who (apart from being guest NASA reporter at the landing) opined it would be corporations and not countries that opened Space up. For a while there it appeared he got that one wrong, but now, not so sure ...
Leon and The Fifth Element were great, but honestly, was anything else he's made?
He's the French Michael Bay. The odd decent film bobbing about in a sea of crap.
This thread is so weird. You people think all this lame stuff is as awesome as comic sans is. I'll never understand Reddit
This is asked often here and what consistently pops up is circumcision, which the majority of us consider to be barbaric now.
I still do it!
Although the government is quite anti-American, most Chinese people love American culture.
Someone needs to gather up all these people that don't leave and somehow survived and have them make a PSA, maybe that'll convince others to actually leave!
I'M BEING REPRESSED!
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 83%. (I'm a bot)
The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2016 to Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos for his resolute efforts to bring the country's more than 50-year-long civil war to an end, a war that has cost the lives of at least 220 000 Colombians and displaced close to six million people.
President Santos initiated the negotiations that culminated in the peace accord between the Colombian government and the FARC guerrillas, and he has consistently sought to move the peace process forward.
The fact that a majority of the voters said no to the peace accord does not necessarily mean that the peace process is dead. The referendum was not a vote for or against peace.

I guess we didn't have to miss him for too long.
When I was accepted into the Australian National University, they sent me two free t-shirts. They're plain grey (one is light grey, one dark), with the letters "ANU" on them. They're the only t-shirts I own that fit me properly, I always look forward to having them available.
One day I'd like to own a blue t-shirt with the classic lego space logo on it, and when I do, it'll be my favourite shirt.
I use the sonic the hedgehog drowning countdown. Already makes me panic when im awake so it works
Or its the brand that hasn't been dead for years.
Why does anyone other than the producers deserve to get caught?
Get back together with someone after they cheated on me.
This is awesome I've always wanted to try cross stitching but I can't do it
To be fair, there've been lots of leads in Allen's movies that never got another role worth talking about.
(So, I wrote that and then thought I'd fact check myself. Erm, it's not exactly true. The vast majority of Allen's stars are actually household names now... and that's scary.)
